The university that was known as Bhopal University in the initial years took form in the year 1970 in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The university is named after a renowned freedom fighter from Bhopal named Prof. Barkatullah. The large campus of the university is positioned to be accessible to the people by road and rail. The courses that are offered specialize in arts, science, humanities and law apart from the many other departments of study.
